What to expect from therapy:

I believe that no one knows you better than yourself, but I also know how scary it can feel to venture into the deepest parts of yourself on your own - and to be unsure of how to process what you may find. I approach therapy in a relational manner that allows for us to build trust so that you feel supported and have the space needed to become curious about how your story has shaped you.

You are always in the driver’s seat in therapy. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, and I’ll follow your lead while offering guidance, support, and reflection along the way. My hope is that therapy feels like a space where you’re safe to show up as you are, without needing to have it all together.

As therapy progresses, I hope to help you become accepting of all parts of yourself, and to welcome each part of you as having an integral role in your whole self. I have an integrative approach using ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems), and attachment theory. I am also EMDR trained.

What to expect when you arrive for a session:

Curious about what to expect when you arrive for a session? Here’s a peek at my office, located in south Charlotte, NC.

I’ve designed this space to feel warm, cozy, and inviting, where you can settle in and feel comfortable. The main office includes comfy seating, coloring books, fidgets, and a weighted plushie to help you feel more grounded and at ease.

For kids and teens (or anyone who likes to keep their hands busy!), the play side of the office includes toys, games, fidgets, and hands-on activities to make therapy feel a little easier, more engaging, and less intimidating.
